The short answer
- Pick Day Trade Dash if you are a Warrior Trading student learning Ross Cameron's small-cap momentum style and want the exact scanners he calls out.
- Pick Trade Ideas if you are new and want the premium experience. There is no need to configure anything. The Channel Bar in every plan gives you ready-made, themed channels on day one. Each TI Pro plan has the Holly AI Assistant as well. The free Trading Room helps you learn as you go.
- Pick Trade Ideas if you want tools to grow into. You get 310 alerts and 249 filters, OddsMaker backtesting, Money Machine automation and Holly AI Signals.
- What growing into it looks like. First, let the AI Assistant build scans from plain English. Next, set up your own from 310 alerts and 249 filters in a no-code menu, then write a custom filter in the Formula Editor when you need one. When you reach TI Premium, OddsMaker lets you check each idea against history, and Holly hands you daily signals that state the entry, the stop and the target.
- Already a Warrior member? You can keep Day Trade Dash for Ross's room and add Trade Ideas for themed channels, backtesting and Holly AI Signals.
- Trade Ideas publishes this page and makes one of the two tools.
What Day Trade Dash is
Warrior Trading describes Day Trade Dash as "the same tools that expert trader Ross Cameron uses each and every day," designed by Ross and built by his team. It has three parts:
- Scanners. "There are 24 Scanners to Choose From!" Warrior lists watch list scanners such as Top Gainers, Top Losers, Top Relative Volume, Top Penny Stocks and Top Large Cap Stocks, and alert scanners such as Small Cap Momentum, Large Cap Momentum, Running Up, Reversals and Halt.
- Charts. "Powered by Trading View," with features such as 10-second charts.
- News. A feed built for active day traders instead of an endless headline stream.
Warrior's pitch is simplicity: it "works, right out of the box," with predefined layouts and indicators and simple customizations, and its scanners are meant to "filter out the action that isn't important." Warrior's support center says Ross pairs it with Lightspeed for order entry. All real-time market data is included in the subscription.

Day Trade Dash vs Trade Ideas
Day Trade Dash is the software side of Warrior Trading. It puts preset scanners, TradingView-powered charts and a news feed in your web browser. It costs $197 a month, or $147 for Warrior Starter and Pro members. Real-time market data is included. In Trade Ideas, that work is divided between two tools.
- Alerts as they happen. Day Trade Dash has alert scanners such as Small Cap Momentum, Running Up and Halt. Trade Ideas Streaming Alerts are the scanner. Each alert arrives the moment the event happens.
- Ranked lists. Among its watch list scanners are Top Gainers and Top Relative Volume. Trade Ideas Top Lists are the screener. They rank every stock that meets your filters and update every 15 seconds.
- Ready-made on day one. Both work without setup. Every Trade Ideas plan has the Channel Bar in TI Pro. There is no need to configure anything.
- Room to grow. Warrior's Day Trade Dash pages list simple customizations. They don't list a backtester. In Trade Ideas you can open and change any scan. OddsMaker tests it against past trading days. Holly AI Signals bring you daily trade ideas. OddsMaker and Holly AI Signals are on TI Premium.
More detail on the software: Trade Ideas vs Day Trade Dash.
Ready-made scans on day one, in every plan
Trade Ideas is a good fit for a beginning trader who wants the premium experience. There is no need to configure anything. You see the speed and power of the market as it moves. Momentum shows up on screen as it builds.
- The Channel Bar. It works like Netflix. Channels are already set up around themes a beginner wants to watch, such as big momentum movers or S&P 500 stocks moving up fast. Click one to watch live Alerts and Top Lists. You get it in TI Pro with every Trade Ideas plan.
- Stock Races. Stock Races put the market on screen as a live race. You can see which stock has the most momentum at a glance.
- The free Trading Room. Barrie Einarson leads the Trade Ideas Trading Room. A whole community of traders learns live with him.
- The AI Assistant. Every TI Pro plan includes Holly AI Assistant. Describe the scan you want in plain English, and it builds the Alert window or Top List for you.
- Practice first. Paper trading lets you practice with pretend money on live prices. OddsMaker lets you test a setup against past trading days.
The same software grows with you. When you are ready, you can build your own scans, test them in OddsMaker, automate them with Money Machine and add Holly AI Signals. New to trading? Start with our guide for beginners.
Ross's scanner types, rebuilt from Trade Ideas building blocks
A preset scanner is a set of rules someone else chose for you. That is a good thing when you are learning a specific strategy. The catch is that you can't easily see or change why a stock made the list, or check whether those rules still work in this month's market. With Trade Ideas you can start on the Channel Bar and go further whenever you like. Trade Ideas gives you the parts so you can build the same kinds of scans and then adjust them. These are the closest Trade Ideas pieces to the scanner types Warrior lists, not copies of Warrior's rules:
- Top Gainers, Top Relative Volume: a Top List sorted by percent change or by the relative volume filter, updated every 15 seconds.
- Small Cap Momentum, Running Up: a 1 minute volume spike or new high alert, narrowed with the price and float filters.
- Reversals: the gap up reversal and gap down reversal alerts.
- Halt: the halt alert.
When none of the 310 alerts and 249 filters says exactly what you mean, the Formula Editor lets you script your own filter, or you can describe the scan in plain English to the Holly AI Assistant.
Each of those building blocks is documented in our help: 310 alerts and 249 filters. Any alert can be combined with any filters, each with a min and max, and 191 alerts have a setting of their own, such as the minimum dollar move on Running Up Now or the volume ratio on a 1-minute volume spike. The open has its own set: opening range breakouts and breakdowns at 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minutes, such as the 2-minute breakout, and the bullish opening power bar. Multiply 310 alerts by the 30,876 ways to pick two filters and you get 9,571,560 pairings, so the scans you can build are effectively unlimited.
Check a setup in OddsMaker before you trade it
The Day Trade Dash page doesn't list a way to test a scanner against past data. That matters when you are copying a style: Ross's results come from Ross's judgment, and a scanner alone doesn't tell you how its alerts played out without him. OddsMaker replays your alert and filters across all stocks over past trading days, with your own entry, stop and exit rules, and reports the trades, win rate and profit factor. If your small-cap momentum scan only works in the first 30 minutes, OddsMaker shows you that before your account does.
Past results, including backtests, don't guarantee future results.
Holly brings you trades; Money Machine can take them
Holly AI Signals fire during the trading day with a symbol, an entry, stop and target. Holly is designed to look for stocks with large long-term potential. Many signals won't work out. You choose whether to exit the same day or hold, based on your risk.
Holly isn't limited to one style. It picks its strategies by running OddsMaker-style tests every night, so it isn't tied to a single small-cap momentum playbook. See Holly AI Signals.
When you want rules to run without you, Money Machine trades from your own Top Lists and Streaming Alerts, sets a stop and target for each stock from its volatility, and sends orders through Brokerage Plus to a connected broker. Its Simulated Mode lets you watch it trade before real money is involved.
Both are real-time. Trade Ideas shows you more of the market
Day Trade Dash includes real-time market data, and momentum trading doesn't work without it. Streaming Alerts use Trade Ideas' own live market data. They can fire on every trade, sometimes more than once a second. If you are okay with static non-refreshing data, Trade Ideas is probably not your best choice.
Trade Ideas also monitors unusual options activity across all stocks, through a dedicated channel that runs in TI Pro and in the Web Dashboard. Day Trade Dash's page doesn't list options activity.
Who Day Trade Dash is better for
- Warrior Trading students who want to see exactly the scanners Ross calls out in the room, so lessons and live trading line up.
- Small-cap momentum specialists who are happy with one proven style and don't need to test others.
- Traders who like TradingView charts with 10-second bars inside the same subscription as their scanner.
- Practice-first traders who want the simulator with Level 2 bundled in.
Warrior Trading knows Trade Ideas well. Its own Trade Ideas review, last updated in March 2025, rates it 4.8 out of 5 and says, "When it comes to AI scanners, there is nothing else that compares." So the honest comparison isn't Warrior against Trade Ideas. You can start on either without building a scan first. Trade Ideas adds themed channels, a free Trading Room, OddsMaker and Holly AI Signals.
Who Trade Ideas is better for
- Beginners who want the premium experience. The Channel Bar, the free Trading Room with Barrie Einarson and the AI Assistant get you started on day one.
- Traders who want to feel momentum as it happens. Streaming Alerts and Stock Races show the speed of the market in real time.
- Traders who want to grow. You can build scans from 310 alerts and 249 filters, test them in OddsMaker and automate them with Money Machine.
- Traders who want an AI to bring them ideas. Holly AI Signals fire during the day and are designed for large long-term potential. You choose whether to exit the same day or hold.
- Experienced traders who want advanced tools. The Formula Editor, options activity and connected brokers are there when you need them.
