Preset Scanners vs Streaming Alerts and Top Lists
Both find stocks while they move. Day Trade Dash is Warrior Trading's browser-based scanner, chart and news software. It ships with 24 preset scanners. Trade Ideas is ready-made too, and lets you build and test your own scans. Streaming Alerts are the scanner. Top Lists are the screener. The Channel Bar's themed channels come with every plan.

Day Trade Dash details checked on warriortrading.com and Warrior's support center on Oct 6, 2026. "Not listed" means Warrior's Day Trade Dash pages don't mention it.
Each Day Trade Dash scanner is a preset recipe, configured to cut out noise. That helps when you want the same list Ross sees.
Trade Ideas alerts are smaller building blocks: 308 alerts and 249 filters, each documented in our help. Combine any alert with any filters, set a min and max on each, and tune 191 alerts with a setting of their own, such as the dollar move on Running Up Now. Opening range breakouts and breakdowns come in 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 minute versions (5-minute breakout), and technical alerts such as a 5-minute 5/8 SMA cross up or a 5-minute bottoming tail can sit in one window with your filters. One alert matched with two filters already offers 9,571,560 possibilities, which is why the scans are effectively unlimited.
Trade Ideas splits the job in two. Streaming Alerts report an event the moment it prints, such as a new high or a volume spike. Top Lists (Screeners) rank the stocks that pass your filters right now. You can open any alert or filter to see what it measures.
You don't have to start from a blank screen. Channel Bar channels are grouped by what a new trader wants to watch, from big momentum movers to S&P 500 stocks moving up fast. Stock Races line up stocks against each other in a live race.
Warrior's Day Trade Dash pages don't list a backtester. In Trade Ideas, OddsMaker takes an alert and filter set and replays it on past trading days. You choose the entry, the stop and the exit. It reports the number of trades, the win rate and the profit factor.
Past results, including backtests, don't guarantee future results.
Holly AI Signals fire during the trading day with an entry and a stop to manage risk. Holly is designed to find large long-term potential winners. You choose whether to exit the same day or hold, based on your risk.
Money Machine can trade your own Top Lists (Screeners) and Streaming Alerts through a connected broker. It has a Simulated Mode for practice.
Day Trade Dash includes real-time market data in every subscription. Trade Ideas Streaming Alerts run on Trade Ideas live market data. If you are okay with static non-refreshing data, Trade Ideas is probably not your best choice.
Trade Ideas also monitors unusual options activity across all stocks; you can open its dedicated channel in TI Pro or the Web Dashboard.
For a beginning trader who wants the premium experience, Trade Ideas is a strong fit. There is no need to configure anything. The market's speed, power and momentum show up on your screen while it is happening. Barrie Einarson leads the free Trade Ideas Trading Room, and a community of traders joins him there. There is plenty of room to grow. Start with our guide for beginners.
Folks who scan the market live tend to land on Trade Ideas, and folks after its day-trading scanner dashboard tend to land on Day Trade Dash. If you do both kinds of work, use both.
What to know on the Trade Ideas end of Day Trade Dash or Trade Ideas.
Day Trade Dash gives you 24 preset scanners, and that's a fine start. With Trade Ideas you get presets too, in the Channel Bar, but you can open any of them and change the rules. Every scan runs on data from every US exchange, plus off-exchange trades and the NBBO. Ask the AI Assistant for a new scan in plain English in either plan. When you're ready, TI Premium adds OddsMaker to test a setup and Holly AI Signals for finished trade ideas. A free account takes just an email and no card.

Yes, if you are starting out and want the premium experience. You don't have to configure anything first. Both the Channel Bar and the AI Assistant come with every TI Pro plan. A whole community of traders learns in the free Trading Room, which Barrie Einarson leads. Try ideas in paper trading so no real money is on the line.
